Words are our business as authors and what we devour as readers. Yet most people use relatively few and as the guidelines for grammar are often not clear, especially between say US English and British English the language is complex. Words can explain but also confuse, especially if used in the incorrect way and context.
Today’s wordy offering are contronyms – words with contradictory meanings.
